Here is a list of fun road races or relays to run. In no particular order, here they are:
LILAC BLOOMSDAY 12K (7.46 miles), Spokane, WA
This crazy race is held every April. Local standout runner and founder,Don Kardong established
the run through the streets of beautiful Spokane. The inagural run started in 1977 with just over
1,000 runners with Olympian Frank Shorter winning. Through the years, the race has attracted over
an average of 40,000 runners, some who dress in outrageous costumes which goes hand-in-hand
with all the rock bands spread throughout the course playing their wild music.

PEACHTREE 10K (6.2 miles), Atlanta, GA
This run started in 1970 and is held every 4th of July weekend.
It is the largest 10K road race in the U.S., averaging over 55,000 runners and walkers.

HOOD TO COAST RELAY - 197 Miles, Portland, Oregon
"The MOTHER of All Relays"
As the Largest Running Relay Race in the World, it stretches 197 miles from the top of Oregon's majestic Mt. Hood down to the beautiful Pacific Ocean beach in Seaside, Oregon. I ran this relay in 1993 and 1995 and it was a blast!

GREAT ALASKAN MARITIME MARATHON - 26.2 miles
This run is a bit unusual because you run 2 miles on a cruise ship, and stop at different ports along the way and run a half marathon, 10K and a 5 mile race totaling 26.2 miles.

FALMOUTH ROAD RACE, Flamouth, MA
Another famous race started in the early 1970s. It is held every
August and runs along the ocean. Legends like Alberto Salazar, Frank Shorter, Bill Rodgers and Joan Benoit have won this race.

BOLDER BOULDER 10K, Boulder, CO
This race is similar to Bloomsday in that some runners dress
up in costumes and their are also rock bands playing music
along the course. Olympian Frank Shorter has won this race and
lives in Boulder, Colorado.

PREFONTAINE MEMORIAL 10K, Coos Bay, OR
If you are runner, then you know what this race is about. PRE died to soon and definitely had more to prove and is remembered every September when runners from all over come to pay respect and visit Marshfield High School where Pre ran and PRE's Rock.

This race is a blast and is held every January. What a way to start the year off.

This race was established way back in 1912 with many names changes. It is one of the largest road races in the world.
This race is also similar to Bloomsday and Peachtree where people love to dress up in their wacky costumes.
